Chat Library and Private Folders

The Chat page has a compact control panel beside the transcript. Select
Expand chat history to open the full Chats library; select
Close chat history to return to the conversation.

Start and find chats

Select New Chat to clear the transcript and start a conversation. In the
expanded library, use Search chats to filter the conversations already
loaded into the list.

The Recent chats section shows these empty states:

  • No chats yet — Start a new conversation to build your local chat
    history.
  • No matching chats — Try a different search.
  • Loading sessions... while another page of history is being read.

The list loads additional conversations as you reach its end. Inside a long
conversation, scrolling to the top loads older messages.

Understand chat names and memory labels

A new chat name comes from the first line of its first user message, shortened
to six words. If no text is available, its name is New Chat.

Open Chat options and select Rename to enter a custom Chat name.
This custom name is stored only in this browser's local workspace. It does not
rename the server's chat record and may not follow the chat to another browser
profile or machine.

The smaller line below each chat explains its memory scope:

  • Global memory
  • Private
  • Memory off
  • a folder name, or Private folder if that name is unavailable

The library has no delete-chat action and no chat import or export action in
v1.0.

Create a private folder

  1. Select New private folder.
  2. Enter a Folder name.
  3. Select the check-mark button to save, or the close button to cancel.

Each folder shows its chat count followed by Private. Select a folder to
see its Private folder detail card, shared summary, and only the chats in
that folder. If no summary has been created yet, it says No folder summary
yet. Complete a chat here to create one.

When a folder is selected, New Chat starts a chat in that folder. When
All chats is selected, New Chat starts with global memory instead.

Rename, move, or delete a folder

Use the edit button in the folder detail card to rename the folder. To move an
existing chat, open its options, choose Move to, then select No folder
or a folder name.

Pitchblend asks for confirmation because moving a memory-enabled chat changes
which summaries and saved memories can contribute to that folder. Read the
message and select Cancel if the destination is not intended.

Deleting a folder shows this warning:

Chats stay private and become unfiled. Shared folder facts and the folder
summary will be deleted.

Select Delete folder only when that is the desired result. The chats remain
on the computer as private, unfiled chats; the shared folder facts and summary
do not.

Folder memory and the profile-memory explorer are covered in
Memory Controls and Explorer.
